Charles Lee Wright

Charles Lee Wright, 73, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the evening hours of Monday, February 12, 2024, following a brief illness. Charles was born on January 12, 1951, in Bristol, VA to the late James Walter & Helen Wright.Charles attended Light House Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer, who enjoyed watching westerns, gardening with his brothers Jack and John. Charles looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Alabama with his family and friends. He was a Virginia Tech fan as well as a Green Bay Packers fan. Charles was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend; he will be greatly missed.In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three brothers, Ricky, Fred, and William Wright; and niece, Brandi Wright.Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christopher Wright & wife Amy, Erin Steele & husband Stacey, and Adam Wright & wife Nikki; two grandchildren, Luke Henegar and Carson Wright; three brothers, Jack Wright & wife Lou, John Wright & wife Tammy, and Jim Wright & wife Brenda; four sisters, Mary Lou Worley, Linda Rickman, Betty Mumpower, and Katie Wright; mother of his children, Wanda Wright; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Blevins Funeral Home.
