Dorothy Ann Goad, age 78, of Bristol, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. She was born on June 11, 1945, to the late John and Mattie Lee Mitchell. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Goad, Jr.; several brothers and sisters; mother-in-law, Elsie Goad; and father-in-law, William Goad, Sr.Dorothy attended Fellowship Chapel in Bristol, VA for several years. She never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Dorothy was a sweet and happy soul who was down to Earth. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her three dogs. She will be dearly missed.Left to cherish her memory are children, Ben Goad (Candy) and Anna Brown (Michael); grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Brittany Malcolm (Jared), Lindsay Brown, Ben Goad, Aundrea Jones, and Scott Thomas; great grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Rhylan Jones and Brayden Jones; sisters, Nancy Wise and Patty Yokum; brother in law, Dwight Goad (Sharon); sister in law, Barbara Vincill (Jerry); dogs, Molly, Lucy and Butter; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.Services will be private.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Dorothy.Online condolences for the family may be sent and viewed by visiting www.BlevinsCares.com.
