Erica Faith Hilliard

Erica Faith Hilliard, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend left this earth on March 8, 2024.Erica leaves behind the loves of her lives, her children, Kaylei, Ethan, Lauran and Nathan and a special granddaughter Parker. Erica wanted nothing more in this world than to be a mother. Having her 4 children was her life’s greatest joy and purpose. She loved her children with every fiber of her being. In fact, all children have always held a special place in her heart. Erica would often “take” her children’s friends in and make them feel like she was their second mom.Erica proudly worked as a waitress in several restaurants throughout Bristol. She was one of the hardest workers you would ever meet. Erica would work even through all of the pain that life had dealt her, which serves as a true testimony of how resilient and strong Erica was. Erica also became the “work mom” at every place she worked at. Her kindness and ability to uplift others in their times of need was something that many will always remember her by.Erica always had a love for any and all animals. There wasn’t a single animal out there outside of a snake of course that she wouldn’t take in. She never had a house big enough for all of the animals she truly wanted, but for the ones she had, her love and care alone was enough for them. She dedicated her life to not only her children, but her animals, which in her eyes were her babies too.Erica had the unique ability to make anyone laugh and she brought so much laughter and joy to anyone who was blessed with knowing her throughout her life here on earth. Even through all of the pain Erica experienced throughout her life, she never lost the ability to make others laugh and to provide an encouraging word to uplift others.Erica was preceded in death by her grandparents whom she loved so much and had a very special bond with, Earl and Margaret Hilliard and a stepdad, Mike Midget and a cousin, Jeremiah Stout.Erica will be missed by many and Erica leaves behind daughter Kaylei Faith Thompson, Ethan Wayne Thompson, Lauran Mayzei Thompson and Nathan St. John and a special granddaughter, Parker Amelia. Father, Earl Stanley Hilliard and stepmom, Jennifer. Mother, Lisa Franks Midgett. Sisters Jessica Early, Keren Rosenfield and Shanna Deel. Several nieces and nephews. Erica also came from a large family on her daddy’s side with many special cousins, aunts and uncles and Erica had many special friends throughout her time her on earth.A celebration of life is planned for March 16, 2024, for 1:00 pm at Adoration Church (52 Old Airport Rd Bristol, VA 24201).Online condolences for the family may be sent and viewed by visiting www.BlevinsCares.com.
