John 16:22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.Geneva Marie Shipley, age 93, of Bristol, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 15, 2024. She was born on March 24, 1930, to the late Charlie Shaffer and Lizzy J. Shaffer. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Wilson; son, Ruben Shipley; and brothers, Conley, Carson, Curtis, Edward, and Fred Shaffer.Geneva was a devoted Christian woman. Geneva lost her mother at a young age and raised her brothers during her teen years. She had a stroke in her early thirties but persevered and never lost sight of God. She was a humble and caring woman.
