Ray Anthony Grant, 65, entered into eternal rest during the early morning hours of Monday, March 25, 2024, following an extended illness. Ray was born on August 25, 1958, in Bristol, VA to Donald Lee and Francena May Grant. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Grant; paternal grandparents, George and Emma Grant; maternal grandparents, Frank and Alice Osborne; and special aunt, Helen Osborne.Ray attended Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed model cars, drawing, writing poems and spending time with his family and friends. Ray was a loving son, brother, and friend; he will be greatly missed.Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Francena May Grant; brother, Gary Grant; and several extended family members.Ray will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery with Pastor Vann Seal officiating.In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to your local humane society.Online condolences may be sent and viewed by visiting www.BlevinsCares.com. Spent hours and hours of fun playing as kids with Tony and his brother Gary. Tony opened his home to me when I was in need later on in life. He will be remembered as someone always willing to help out his friends and will be greatly missed. Mike Grubb
