Ronald William Short

Ronald William Short, 83, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the evening hours of Thursday, January 25, 2024. Ron was born on July 30, 1940, in Kingsport, TN to the late W.T. And Hazel Lola Short.Ron grew up in Kingsport, TN and resided in Bristol, VA. Ron worked for AFG Glass Plant for 16 years and later retiring from Kmart. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friends; he will be greatly missed.In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death son, Kirk Short; and stepdaughter, June Dee Dee Blevins.Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra Short; two daughters, Valerie Short and Natalie McClure; son, Eric Short & wife Julie; stepson, Michael Blevins & wife Pam; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blevins Funeral Home.Ron will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Travis Ingle officiating.
