Shirley Christine Davis

Shirley Christine Davis, age 88, of Bristol, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She was born on January 1, 1936, to the late Lloyd and Pearl Moxley. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Moxley and Robert Moxley.Shirley attended Church of Jesus Christ in Mendota, VA and volunteered at Sharing Christ Mission on State Street in Bristol. She loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing the gospel. She sold Avon cosmetics for many years. Shirley also enjoyed needle work and crochet. She was an exceptional cook and baker. She is remembered for her social and friendly personality. She will be missed by all who knew her.Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 70 years, Ray Davis; children, Ed Davis, Sue Reynolds (Roscoe), Betty Best (Walter), and Elizabeth Davis (David Lazar); six grandchildren; special dog, Lucky; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.A gathering for friends and family will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Blevins Funeral Home.
