Tammy Renee Nelson, 52, passed away unexpectedly during the evening hours of Monday, February 26, 2024. Tammy was born on April 23, 1971, in Bristol, VA.Tammy enjoyed the simplicity of life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, makeup, and was an avid animal lover who used to foster birds. Tammy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend; she will be greatly missed.Tammy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dale Nelson; son, Adam Nelson; and maternal grandparents, Hubert & Billie Malone.Left to cherish her memory are her son, Travis “J” Gardner; two daughters, Kaylea Eller and Amber Cook & husband Alex; mother, Jennifer McMinn; four grandchildren, Andrew Cook, Kinzley Eller, Adam Nelson, Jr., and Iola Bopp; Brandy Sims, whom she loved like a daughter; several stepchildren whom she loved as her own; special friend, Marcie Hutton; and a host of friends.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Feathers Chapel (2072 Feathers Chapel Road Blountville, TN 37617).
