William "Bill" Edward Runion

William "Bill" Edward Runion, age 79, of Bristol, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born on June 10, 1944, to the late William and Martha Runion. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Ann Lockett.Early in Bill's life, he served in the United States Air Force. In 1975, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and later became an elder in the congregation. He focused his life on his family and helping others. Bill never met a stranger. He enjoyed telling jokes and funny stories. He was extremely generous and down to earth. He will be dearly missed.Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years and best friend, Patricia Runion; children, Robin Murten (Duane) and Cynthia Bargeron (Christopher); grandchildren, Michael Murten (Cambria), Amanda Zilinski (Stewart) and Brandon Murten (Danielle); great grandchildren, Ryan Murten and Kaylee Murten; sister, Linda Vickers; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to JW.org in memory of Bill.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1017 West Cedar St., Bristol, TN 37620).The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the friends and family for their kind and compassionate care shown to Bill during his time of need.Online condolences for the family may be sent and viewed by visiting www.BlevinsCares.com.
